​​What is Reiki Healing?

The word 'Reiki' means universal life force energy. The first syllable 'Rei' describes the boundless aspect of this energy, while 'Ki' (or Chi) is the vital life force that flows through all living beings.
Reiki is a hands-on healing technique, where the practitioner places their hands gently on the client's body: it is NOT a form a massage. It is given through the clothing and is a safe, natural energy that compliments other forms of therapy and will enhance their effectiveness. (Note; If preferred the practitioner may work in the person's aura (energy field).)

All practitioners of Reiki must be attuned to the Reiki energies, and there are three attunement levels to complete - Reiki One, Reiki Two and Reiki Master / Teacher.

How does it work?

Reiki creates an open channel for cosmic energy to flow through the Reiki therapist to the person receiving.  Reiki breaks through the blocks and lets the universal energy of life flow again to stimulate healing from the inside.

Reiki Level One Attunement Course

Reiki One attunement opens you to become a channel for 'Ki' or 'Chi', and begins to clear your own energetic channel to heal you first.  It also enables you to bring through more of the healing energies for your family, friends and loved ones.
This course includes a brief history of Reiki, what Reiki is, how to use Reiki on yourself and others, and plenty of practical work upon the aura, chakras,  and other ways of using Reiki.

​Successful candidates will be provided with a Certificate and a Reiki Lineage on completion. 

Reiki healing course

​Reiki Level Two Attunement Course

Applicants must be able to prove that they have been attuned to Reiki Level One for at least three months before they will be accepted onto this course.

This course includes:

• ​attunement to Usui to Usui Tibetan Reiki symbols (Level Two),
• learning the Level Two Usui symbols and the mantras,
• practising drawing the symbols,
• ways of using the symbols and mantras,
• powering up and switching off Reiki,
• distance healing,
• practical healing session using Level Two symbols.

​Successful candidates will be provided with a Certificate and a Reiki Lineage on completion. which should allow them to gain insurance and become a Reiki Practitioner.

Reiki Master / Teacher Attunement Course

Applicants must be able to prove that they have been attuned to Reiki Level Two for at least three months before they will be accepted onto this course.​

The prospective student must ask themselves seriously why they wish to  train to be a Reiki Master Teacher.  They should understand that it is a life choice - not achieved when the certificate is given at the end of this course.  It is a commitment to spend the rest of your life working towards becoming a 'Master'.   It is an ongoing task that we never really finish - there is always something new to learn.

Reiki self healing

One must first undertake Reiki Level I & Level II, and be confident and experienced with using these energies. It is also necessary to meditate on your life path and ascertain if undertaking the Reiki Master course is really in harmony with your purpose. Then, it is important to find the right Reiki Master Teacher who is competent, and who you feel an affinity with.   It is also important that they offer you ongoing support after you gain your certificate.

The decision whether to become a Reiki Master doesn't have to rest on whether you wish to teach Reiki to others.  Many people train to be Reiki Masters purely to bring additional healing to themselves and others.  The power of your Reiki will be greatly increased, and you will have the energy of Master symbols, their mantras, and the techniques and knowledge to use them at your disposal.  You may also, of course, wish to train your friends and family in Reiki.  But if you do choose to teach formal classes, this certificate will enable you to do so.

• What to include teaching Usui/Tibetan Reiki Level I,
• The integrated method for teaching Usui/Tibetan Reiki Level I,
• What to include teaching /Tibetan Reiki Level II,
• The integrated method for teaching Usui/Tibetan Reiki Level II,
• What to include teaching Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master Teacher Level,
• The integrated method for teaching Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master Teacher Level,​
• Practising the method for teaching Usui Level I, Usui Level II & Usui Master Teacher Level,
• Teaching and practice of the Reiju blessing
• Differences between the Usui only and the Usui Tibetan teaching and attunements (if teaching both)
• Discussion and details of Advanced Reiki Training (ART)
• The Reiki Grid, its uses and meditation using the Reiki Grid,
• The Antahkarana symbol, its uses and meditation using the Antahkarana symbol,
• Practising the Reiki Mawashi,
• Responsibilities and ethics of a Reiki Master Teacher practitioner,
• On-going responsibility for personal and spiritual development,
• Discussion about going on to complete Karuna Reiki Master Teacher Level with us,
• Benefits of attending or starting a Reiki Share group

Successful candidates will receive a Master/ Teacher Certificate and a Reiki Lineage from the Phoenix Wings School of Holistic Therapies upon successful completion of this course.
