Agates consist of primarily Quartz and Chalcedony, often growing in bands and come in a wide range of colours. It is one of the most common minerals available, is very durable due to a hardness of MOHS 7 and has been used since ancient times for beads, jewellery and carvings. It is also been widely used in industry for the same qualities.
In healing, it's energy frequency is somewhat slower than other crystals, but this does not diminish its holistic value.
